How your song is created

In the first step you tell us who you are preparing the song for and for what occasion. If you like, you can also add a short dedication that we will print on the gift certificate. Based on this information we then create the lyrics and music tailored precisely to you.

What we will need from you:

• • Recipient's name – who the song is for (it can be anyone close to you)
• • Your relationship to the recipient – partner, parent, child, friend, sibling, grandparent, colleague or someone else
• • Occasion – birthday, wedding, anniversary, Christmas, graduation or any other
• • Song language – Czech, Slovak, English, German, French, Polish, Ukrainian or Vietnamese
• • Music style – pop, rock, ballad, rap, folk, jazz, classical or musical
• • Emotion – what feeling the song should evoke (love, gratitude, joy, nostalgia, inspiration, humour or tenderness)
• • Voice type – male, female, duet, neutral or child
• • Personal story or wish – describe memories, shared experiences, funny anecdotes or anything that this person means to you. The more detailed your input, the more personal and beautiful a song we can create.

Based on your story we prepare two different versions of the lyrics. Each treats your memories in a slightly different way – a different melodic structure, different phrases, a different perspective on the story.

Both versions are shown side by side and you can edit them freely. Want to add a line? Change a word? Fix a name? No problem – the lyrics are fully editable.

If you are happy and don't want to change anything, simply continue. Edits are not required.

From both text versions we create complete music recordings – with vocals, accompaniment and production in the style you chose. This usually takes 1–3 minutes.

Once the recordings are ready, a player is shown for each version. Listen to both and choose the one that speaks to you more.

The previews contain a subtle audio watermark (a "Songlab.cz" voiceover in the background). It only serves as protection against misuse. After purchase you get a clean recording in full quality without any watermark.

In the last step you fill in your billing details and confirm the order. We need from you:

• • First and last name (required)
• • E-mail address (required) – we will send the finished song to this address
• • Address (optional) – used only for the invoice

If you have a discount code, enter it in the relevant field and the discount will be automatically deducted from the total price.

Payment is made securely via the Stripe payment gateway. We accept payment cards and other common payment methods. The whole process is encrypted and your details are safe.

Immediately after a successful payment the finished song arrives to your e-mail in maximum quality (MP3 format) – without a watermark, without limitations – together with an original cover art and a certificate of authenticity (PDF) bearing the recipient's name and your dedication. All three files can be played, printed and given away exactly as you see fit.

If you create an account, you will find all your songs neatly stored in the "My songs" section. You can come back at any time to download or resend the song. You can also change the name and dedication on the certificate at any time – we will e-mail you the new PDF right away.
